The goal in my art is to achieve a visual silence that inspires and nourishes.
Walter Bagehout the famous 19th century essayist and journalist said “an inability to stay quiet is one of the most conspicuous failings of mankind”.
I draw with quiet in every stroke. The world in our mind, is full of noise, the hustle and bustle the constant whirring and buzzing of the everyday. Striving for a silence in which we may discover ourselves in a truth that exposes yet enlightens. I use the simplicity of water mixed with ink in all its states. A drop or a splash. To transport the viewer to a world of undiscovered beauty, to see ink in its fresh new born state and to see the unseen .To see the whole world in a stroke of water.
